Organize your content

Tags helps you organize and customize your content. By creating and assigning tags to your books you will be able to quickly visualize or search what you are looking for. For example you might want to categorize your content by nature or learning . In addition to link your content with tags you can also customize how the content will behave if attached to a specific tag. For example, you create a tag private which purpose is to categorize all your private content (if you share your account with some other persons). You can then customize this tag to blur covers, protect the content, etc.

Creation

You have two options to create a tag. You can create a new tag directly from within the app or let oboku automatically create them by using directives. See below for more information.

Organize

Once a tag exist, you can start assigning it to your content. To link a tag and a book you have several options:

  • Click on the tag section from the book detail screen

  • Click on the manage tags section from the book action menu

  • Click on the manage books section from the tag action menu

Customize

By clicking on the tag you will be given several options to customize the behavior of the content attached to it.

Rename

Rename your tag

Mark as protected

This will automatically protect every content attached to the tag. Once enabled the protection password will be required to customize the tag again. This means that only the holder of the protection password can access the content and customize this tag furthermore.

Blur covers

This will automatically blur the cover of every content attached to the tag.

Remove

Delete the tag and all links with your content. This does not delete your content.

Automatic creation / organization with directives

Because creating and organizing your tags manually can be time consuming and annoying you can take advantage of oboku directives when using data sources to let oboku handle the tags for you. Please see the directive section for more information.
